My Secret

by Victoria Nojang   Mar 16, 2012

I stay up all night
Wondering if it's right
Soliciting all to my self
Blaming my lack of nerves

Why can't it be said
In love books I have read?
I know not where to tread
Loneliness fills my head

Do I say I love you?
When it's not me
That matters to you
It will only hurt me

I rather keep a secret
Stay all silent
Not even the birds
Would whistle it

For I'll lock it in my heart
Spend sleepless nights
And cry, till I lose my breath
During the day I'd smile

You lose one
You gain one
I'd love again
And it won't rain.
