Regrets

As darkness starts to seep on in, she tells of all her love for him.

She wipes her tears and fakes a smile, showing strength for a little while.

Remembering all that was so sweet, she's wondering why death's such a cheat.

All is lost but not forgotten, even the things that turned out rotten.

She never though had got the chance, to tell of her one true romance.

She fell in love with such a gent, from heart and soul that he sent.

She returned all that he gave, a feeling which they both had craved.

Till one night when she was low, she turned into his most feared foe.

Told him 'Leave and don't come back!', her heart right then had turned black.

She realised soon what she had done, regretted losing her 'the one'.

She begged and begged for him to stay, but he had wanted to make her pay.

So pay she did with her heart, she gave it all from the start.

Now she whispers with her last breath, 'I'm sorry, I love you from the deepest of depths.'
