That girl in the sunglasses

by alice   Mar 17, 2012

Sunglasses
Shield her blueish eyes,
Broken,
Tear-filled,
But she would never let them
Fall beneath the mask.

Her cotton shirt hides
Scars,
To never be forgotten.
Each a small reminder
Of what has passed.

On her lips,
The words,
Resinating softly
That no-one's ever heard.
No one thought to ask.
