I am no doll

by Cas   Mar 30, 2012

Red rose paint on my finger tips
And my cheeks lightly blushed
My long dark hair falls past my shoulders
In great big luscious locks

On the surface I am fragile, my face so delicate
My frame so small and fit
But be careful what you see,
Is not exactly what you'll get

Don't be misguided
By these clever discuses
Because I can speak my mind
And I have a brain between these eyes

Tip me over, watch me fall
For I will not shatter
This face you see is real
And not porcelain, as it may feel

You can mess the world around me
And try me, but you will fail
Because my soul is strong and powerful
And you most certainly will not prevail

You can try to ruin me physically
My eyes, my face, my hair
But remember, I'm no doll
So I will not break or fall
