Ashes of the wilting flower and i

by neon sunset   Mar 31, 2012

Ashes of the wilting flower and i
we share a connection in our eyes
we are shadows on the ground beneath the mortal's feet
we lay wide awake guarding until the sun peeks
we both wait till the rain comes year after year
waiting for someone to dry up are tears
ashes of the wilting flower and i
we share a connection in our eyes
flames dance in the vivid blue light
mortals are blind and cannot see our light
they leave us waiting in the shadows
waiting for someone to see our light
waiting for the thousandth night

This poem is beautiful..... In all its sadness it radiates emotion... I do love the repetition... it reads like a song... very flowy... love this!!
