The Fall Of Angels

by Anne   Jun 27, 2004

Angels
Graceful
Pure enough to sin
Sent down from the heavens by God

Naïve
Not seeing
The creature in the dark
The spirits in disguises did their deed

The Devil’s
Prisoner
From the fires of hell
Released to kill the pair of Michael’s spies

Hunting
Searching
Round the world of men
The Demon spots the prey he had to find

Using
Crystals
Working in his favour
The Monster’s deadly power was unleashed

Darkness
Arsenic
Seeping through their skin
As silent as the caverns of your mind

Poison
Shadows
Choking on the fumes
All that’s seen is the yellow in their eyes

Slowly
Dying
Anvils of their mind
When struck you see the sparks fly from their hearts

Victory
Malice
Revenge as sweet as blood
Triumphant day the Devil has prevailed
