Carry Me

by prettyhadassah   Apr 10, 2012

A child's heart is delicate as glass,

Once you drop it, it tears apart

May not notice, may not know why,

but a child's cry can squiz your teary eye.

So young and vulnerable,

I need a love that's unbreakable.

How I long and yearn for peace,

In your sweet arms I feel at ease..

A peace that nowhere to be found,

In this periculous world I go around.

Hold me tight I know I'll be alright,

With you by my side, I'm ready to fight.

Father take me back,

Carry me behind your back.

I've grown old now, you see,

I can't even hold your hands in me.

I don't fear, I don't care,

When you carry me it's ours to share.

Your love is deep as the ocean and wide as the sky,

Father CARRY ME before I die..
