Room

by Sally May   Apr 12, 2012

Part of me wants to be free,
from all of this & I know it
won't ever happen.

Imagine locking all your fears, doubts,
& worries into one room & being locked
in that room forever.

But through the window you can see
the other side, the happiness
and the free. You can see it but
you can't touch it. That is the worst
torture of all.

What I wouldn't give to know
the other side, even if that makes
me unprepared & unknowing.
But at least then I can enjoy
every minute of it.

It's easy to dream & to imagine
what could be, or what should be
but then reality hits you & you have
to remember that none of it is real.

I suggest you change free to freedom.

    "You can see it but

I love this part, mainly because I know that feeling.

Great piece, really powerful. It flowed really well, in my honest opinion. The word choice is also great. Really enjoyed reading this. 5/5 Keep writing.
