Book by its cover

by Lofallenve   Apr 19, 2012

Unadorned lettering
And ragged cover
Stained pages
And a look of bore
One glance
And back on the shelf
Searching again
And I find you again.
Held uncertainly
And looking curiously
Opened up
And reading a sentence
Hooked in
And finding a seat
Hours pass
And many pages read
Eyes weary
And I can't put it down
Emerged again
And in a new world
Last page
And the book closes
Unadorned lettering
And ragged cover
Stained pages
And a book of lore

I really like the transition from bore to lore in your first and last stanza. That was creative! Catchy titled! I loved it :)
