Coffee filter butterflies

People say black is too plain
They say you can't see any color
But I know black can create beauty
Black can be Beauty
If you've ever scribbled a little bit with black marker on a coffee filter
You know what I mean
The magic created when the water falls from the eye dropper
The blend of blue and purple
The colors that pour out of the darkness
Covering the filter
When you fold this explosion of color to give it wings
All you can do is be amazed
When you see the little girls run around the room pretending it can fly
All you can say about black
Is that it's beautiful
