Words Unfound

by GHarriss   Apr 26, 2012

I wanted to write the most beautiful words
And have them fly from my lips like precious blue birds.
To be Graceful and deep.
Words that would make you break down and weep.

I wanted to write words of my love
And the one that I was so undeserving of.
To paint him in the light I have always admired
And the once in a lifetime feeling I've come to acquire.

I wanted these words to express my heart
And leap out of the page like visions of art.
For these were the things that I so desired
But alas, perhaps there is more that is required.

See you cannot explain a feeling so rare
In just a couple stanzas as I am now aware.
Although I wanted my words to sing a song of desire
It looks like this mediocre poem was all that transpired.
