Growing Light

by Jessica Carrerow   Apr 27, 2012

I tried to write something expressing how i felt,
But when the ink dried on the paper, the words began to melt.
They began to form a picture, a beautiful sight to behold.
I stared in disbelief at the story never been told.
It all started with a light, the beginning of all creation,
Giving all the life it had and dieing without expectation.
A gasp excaped my lips as creatures crawled from the dark,
Each one an individual, holding their very own spark.
They all continued to grow and their light started to shine.
I felt what they felt, their soul was entangled with mine.
Brighter and brighter they shined until to me it was known,
Without the light giving up its life it never would have grown

"Giving all the life it had and dieing without
    expectation."
    typo: dying

"A gasp excaped my lips as creatures
    crawled from the dark,"
    excaped--escaped

I really like this, the imagery well penned. The flow went really well. Great job. Keep writing :)
