Makeup On Her Dresser

by Mello193   May 4, 2012

It cant rain all the time
a song for love, a song for rhyme
The tides of sin, drawing nearer, in the shadows I see much clearer. None I hold more dearer
Devils night, without a fight
unfair, they took you away
raped and depraved, encircled enslaved
i awoke some time after that day
with the revenge i now craved
to the night time left under the crow
and now i know, from the darkness of Poe
and a Renaissance mask, my face was replaced
with the lipstick and makeup on her dresser
with cut wrists i take my role as the raven's successor
with revenge on my tongue, victims aren't we all
And all i heard was your voice in the birds call
I saw red. I saw red amongst my black
to the night they took you away
a man, and a woman, in a loft of love
I went back there, and of you I found nothing thereof
My guitar sat with dust, unknown to praise
in my almost dreary haze, I noticed
my valentine has hallow eyes
taken away from me, my love, from rape to lies
so I painted it black, black like my soul
Gabrielle's march, the memories left me un-whole
the absence of your grace, i could still trace the shadows on your face. the ring i gave you lost a long time ago
and i intend to take it back, for your heart under attack
i came to find the men who took you
in cigarette smoke and they looked on to the face they killed renewed. In black and white, on the eve of that night
for once my heart must stray from the light, to set the wrong things right.
shattered lives and broken dreams, nothing was what it seemed. Flesh and bone, became unknown. Just dead time sat around me, taunting me, to mock the one thing most I'd thought I'd never see. Just artwork of Hell and misery. It was chaos enchained. Still this longing remained.
one by one I hunted them down. as they thought me nothing more than clown. still in blood they paid and drowned. under the oceans of your tears. I re-payed them with bullets and fears. and the mark they left you still not clean, seemed this was all a dream, within a dream. Like wailing phantom firetrucks. all feeling left me amok.
I am awake and I am fear. And I alone will expiate you my dear. My wrists had been cut wide open by this knife. just a simple token. to remind me, I was alone
until
until the time we can be together
for always and ever
in the afterlife
real love is forever

you came to me in a silhouette of white
after I'd put all the wrong things light
to love me, and lead me once again into your light
A kiss, a sigh, my own lover, don't cry
