A Dying Heart

by Raven   May 5, 2012

The thoughts of all she knew and felt,
Came flooding back to her,
Drowning her mind like an ocean crashing into a darkened sea,
Her cravings for him filling her heart with millions of butterflies,
The sad tears rolling from her pale blue eyes,
She longed for his touch,
To feel his skin upon hers once again,
Every night her soul cries out for him,
But he never answers,
Maybe he cannot hear the cries of such a torn lover,
Or maybe he refuses to hear her cries,
Either one, it still slowly kills her inside,
It takes her sanity slowly as she waits for him to hear,
It freezes her heart as she waits for his return,
All that is left of her though,
Are just the cries of a dying heart.
