Rewritten

by Beautiful Chaos   May 7, 2012

You kissed me like some bitter memory,
burning my lips,
igniting a fire,
I always loved it more, when they loved me less...

Maybe it was the lack of investment,
Knowing what was coming,
what was going,
Nothing concrete to lose.

Feelings never given,
or taken,
Consideration only for yourself,
Libidinous wants.

Love, feelings, chemicals,
whatever you wish to call it,
creeping in,
taking over.

Questions are born,
Are you good enough?
Where is it going?
What do they see?

Mind lost in moments,
past, present,
Constantly comparing and contrasting,
Changing...

Reality setting in,
It's all being scraped clean,
You've started over,
There's nowhere left to hide, but inside yourself.

It's like facing childhood again,
Relearning,
Growing,
Getting lost in the experience.

Maybe innocence can be revisited,
if not regained,
Stars finding their way back into forgotten eyes,
of starless dreamers like me.
