But When It Comes To Me

by fakingeverything   May 15, 2012

My problem in life that I am desperate to change

Is that I care for people who never do the same.

I am the shoulder to cry on when they need help,

But when it comes to me, I cry to myself.

I am the person to talk to when problems appear,

But when it comes to me, I'm the only one here.

I give them a smile whenever they seem down,

But when it comes to me, I am forced to frown.

It hurts to know that I'm there for everyone else

But when it comes to me, I have to be there for myself.

These are the problems that I face everyday

Caring for people who will never do the same,

Helping them through the roughest of times,

Holding them steady while they are crying,

Treating them like they're a king or a queen,

But they'll never do the same when it comes to me.
