Lessons in the dark

And when the day is over
All that's left is night
You'll never know what you've done wrong
If you think all you've done is right

And when look at what you've done
You'll find that you are lost
And although it doesn't seem like it
Confusion has a cost

And when you look inside
You'll see an empty room
An empty heart, and an empty mind
An abandoned, empty tomb

And when you keep on searching
You'll finally reach the good
You'll see a box of band-aids
A hammer, nails, and wood

And when you build yourself back up
You'll learn about your soul
You'll find some hidden answers
To questions that you stole

And when your dreams start fading
This search will start to end
You'll pick up broken pieces
That will finally get to mend

And when you've learned your lesson
That there is right an wrong
You'll leave this place called dreamland
And you will then move on

And when the night is over
What reappears is day
If you think all that you've done is wrong
There's nothing left to say

    ^^Hmmm, my insight for this that after a life that full of dreams and hope the persona here feel hopeless because of frustrations and disappointments...she was asking herself why she came that way and what all she knew that she did everything..thought it was right. And then, she realized that she did something wrong when she gradually found the answers of her questions.

    A hammer, nails, and wood^^It is a nice part..the message is very meaningful...the metaphors of a box with band-aids

    ^^Well, this is an awesome story, after the hopeless night of emptiness..of frustrations and disappointments..of the wrong things done there is still day to shine on the dark. To give new hope and another day to mend yourself into a better person. I enjoyed reading your stuff. Very amazing!
