I see the sadness, the hurt

by courtney   May 17, 2012

You smile,
you laugh,
you joke;
but I know it's all a lie.

You say you're fine,
but I know you.
Cold water wont erase
the marks you leave on yourself.

You're marks arent just marks to me,
they're just a film,
that everyone see's and believes.

But for me,
for me
I see

I see the sadness, the hurt.
I feel the walls you put up
around yourself,
to hide behind.

I might not be the person
to help you break them down,
but I know who can.

So comw with me,
let the healing rain
wash away your troubles
and let your scares fade.

I know someone,
someone who can help.

    Really love this part. I can almost see the person crouching behind the walls that he had built up himself to prevent further hurt and pain. Nice poem!
