Releasing this burden...

by Matthew Schut   May 17, 2012

Pain, guilt, disbelief,
I sit on the edge of my bed,
trying to forget that day,
wishing for a different path instead.

This burden has rested on my shoulders,
I have no one to blame but myself,
carrying this load for way too long,
not ever asking for anyone to help.

Now as I release this heavy burden,
I can now admit what I have done,
I got pulled over for a DUI,
a day that was not very fun.

But I have faced all my consequences,
and I'm putting this mistake to rest,
the sun is shining once again,
living life to the fullest is the best.

Its really good to let it all out, you finally get the sense of relief ..
Now let it go, learn from, and just live your life to the fullest.
