I seriously think our styles are so so so similar.
I can't even.. your poetry always touches me..
to me it always seems like something I would write.. such simple but powerful use of language you always hit the right spots.

(okay, that sounded cocky.. but you get what I mean.)

    Gorgeous write Leona.

Liz, This is an incredibly touching piece...

I love how you expressed feeling her pain with the title...

A real lovely dedication to someone dear to you who is suffering without realisation...

Love your words and gentle warmth within the piece, soothing to the soul while heartbreaking too.

This hit me right in the heart. Such a powerful message. It's always been a fear of mine to suffer this some day, what could be more terrifying than not knowing who your family is, or where home is? It really makes you stop and appreciate things you normally skip right over.

The first two stanzas for sure had me, and had me so emotionally invested, tears came to my eyes. This is a strong, STRONG poem.

I just cant hold my tears while reading it Liz. What an amazing dedication this is. It touched me heart and soul. The way you described the different things that happened in her life just touched me so badly.

You always deliever your emotions to the reader, this way we can share your feelings with you.

This is so sad, not only getting old on top
you have to suffer. I breaks my heart
to watch people dealing with it. But God knows, the pain we at times cause.

Liz, I have been wanting to write about alzhaimer but I haven't gotten my way to write about such a delicate subject. I feel you have written this piece so perfectly and I can't say much other than it has touch my heart.

When I first read the title, I thought it was a bit robotic (?) for my tastes, but of course the actual poem changed my mind. The echo of the title here:
    "your tears spoke
    to me in a universal
    language,"
was totally unexpected (for me) I just love it.
This is a very touchy topic to write about, and you penned it really well without actually overburdening the poem with emotion.
    "but the tears that
    fell yesterday
    drenched your
    heart because you
    had forgotten your
    way home,"
The imagery and emotion became one here, really breathtaking!
The ending was perfectly penned. Hope all the best for your grandmother.

    "Your blue eyes
    had sunken in
    and the haze that
    had covered them
    before your sadness
    fell to your cheeks
    was irrefutably
    touching,"
--One of my favorite part. I love the way you worded it, the rhythm is cool and even the poem was written in the freelance the current of the flows are smooth and perfectly written.

    "I'd recall the nights I
    had slept over your
    house and watched
    you sew and knit, I
    wondered how you
    took care of your
    grandkids as well
    as your eight
    angels."

--Even in this part itself, conveys the power of emotion, stated clearly the feelings of the persona...and wondering some things about her grandma...it so touchy, and even I drift with the emotion...

    'When you lost
    your son, it was
    the first time I
    could really see you,
    and the sadness had
    connected us
    completely,"

--Wow. I think my feelings are already connect in this poem, too. Brilliant penned.

    but the tears that
    fell yesterday
    drenched your
    heart because you
    had forgotten your
    way home,

    and I do hope
    that one day
    you'll find it.

--Well, genius writer knows how to end this piece...I love and enjoy reading from the beginning to the end part...very interesting and impressing. Great work:))
