A Dream to Me

by honeybump   May 22, 2012

To run in a meadow full of gilded lilies,
Full of blossoming sunflowers and honey-suckle bees.
With scenes of emerald green and scents of summer,
All of which is a dream to me.

An orchestra of butterflies riding the purply-periwinkle sky,
Glowing fairies and shimmery hummingbirds floating right beside.
Nature's music accompanying my stride,
All of which is a dream to me.

Riding bareback on a majestic stallion,
Magenta fuschias dangling from his luscious locks.
Cotton-ball bunnies with ears as long as socks,
All of which is a dream to me.

To a place where I've never been before,
Where glistening seashells and beached mermaids lay ashore.
Not having a feeling of worry anymore,
All of which is a dream to me.
