Awake Valhalla within

Awake Valhalla within

A heart gets torn within the mist, a look so far as the winds turn and twist
Curl and swarm around your features, hungry is darkness restless its creatures.
Protruding sulky white your skin, reflecting the grey of winters sorrow
The dampness clinging on each fiber of the morrow.
Still, still within this heart beating slow, pains of knowing grow and grow.
Frozen face, black the sunken eyes, their gaze hold no fear, no surprise.
Your lips once warm upon mine, now unmoving transfixed in time.

Could love really be lost upon this soul that's been taken?
Is there no hope within this dream of a life to re-awaken?
Wish to know you know me still, as Ay ,your touch, I always will.
Wish to know, ay wish to know!
How could I then upon this breath of snow, let you be, let you go?

Ney for the brethren upon the high land cries, the sunken moon filled their eyes.
Happy be praised the land of fury, I besieged thee not for life is short, love dearly.
Dearly Ay! dreaded the path to find between thistle thorn and hands leading blind.
Be it those cold hands of thee that burns mine flesh,
stealeth the heart ,serpent suckling at mine breast.
Upon the gate of sorrow, I saw but only a glimpse as thou shadow slipped away
To leave not once, but forever returning a haunting, emptiness lustfully daunting.

A veil has drawn , the skies appear anew , almost like being born.
The face lower, gaze breaking through obscurity, almost warm a glimmer maybe even sparks.
Still awaits the weeping heart, Huldrelokk torn from bark, twisting tail o" serpent of the dark.
Hollow be thy back of thorn, empty thine eyes ,so black so torn.
Away away! Thieving husk , devilish charm to steal, to chase to harm.
Be gone o' luring witch! He is mine! This form so frail within, so far off reach.
Alone alas be no more, love, my love, awake this slumber, be torn, for mine soul dies,

Be never more so still, I beg thee, turn the gaze upon mine face, and see.
Love I beg, I plea, turn towards light, her hold your ghostly gaze set free.
Let us leave this place, Valhalla do call; touch me,
touch me now ,to free thine heart from her fall.
Dragmoras your belly full ! you culled the shrine , killed the bull.
Upon the four winds ,Valkeries hollered a beacon to thee
Cut the cord of swine and beast, Valhalla awaits with all its treats.
Come hither o' saints and gauls , free thine lord from her ravenous claws.
Mine blood runs cold, upon the blackened stone of Duskgar's hold.
Mine dragon's breath shallow still, serpents bite has left it chilled.
Feel the reaper's presence ripple near, licking death whispers upon mine ear.

Within the starry sky upon the way of milk, thou will layeth me down
Between the angels born, loving me again, carrying thy crown.
Pregnant with celestial fire, I feast only upon thy love
Thou eyes are green, emerald green my love , my lover , my king.
O' how mine hearts a' sing, joy of tune the warmth thou bring.
Gone be the shadow behind the clouds so gloom
Once again within thine face, thou love do bloom.
All at once the Valkeries glory song dies away, all too soon.
Peace restoreth within, as thou turned handing me the moon.

Stumbled upon your profile once again. We havent had a conversation in ages :p

Stellar piece. Valhalla, the great hall is Norse mythology where slain soldiers feast with Odin, for eternity. A heaven/paradise for the fallen heroes.

The poem is so vast, with exquisite vocabulary. But then, all your compositions unravel the poet in you. The poem has the abstract story weaved with fine details.

    Very well written.
