Welcome to my World

Welcome to my World

Eons ago on a warm sunny summer's day, I heard him say
"Welcome to my world, do stay don't go, just give the word,
And all is yours.
My love, my life, my treasure.
Never be bound by all you found within this sphere
Enough it is to know that it is you whom lingers here."

His eyes dark, intense upon my face, inhaling all my senses.
Gentle fingers touch softly upon my cheek, sliding against my neck
His words linger upon my eyes as their sight unearth the figures in ink upon his arms
Haunting the tale they tell, an angel fall, a queen disguised, a joker his jokes to sell.
Demons and dragons hunting their prey, a lost soul drifting in a world, he could no longer stay
He could no longer leave, he could no longer pray.
Losing his religion or did he ever believe, no one at his grave for him to grieve.
Ink stained lives alive within his beating heart; he is still here, so frightfully near.
His breath upon my soul I feel, yet I have no heart for him to steal.
For he has taken it so long ago,
And knows my presence as the wind turns upon the first falling of snow.

Closer than the Holy Ghost his body with mine intertwine, no words spoken within the mingling of wine.
His arms encircled around my life, holding me within him, drawn to be cut with a knife.
No fear escapes my thought, for there is numbness, the comfortable sort.
Sadness dread like lead, fall heavy upon a voice after all is said.
Yet........ He would not let them touch me then, and now he sense the beacon of evil wants to shine within his den.
Howl. Howl O dogs of satan ! be hungry for ever more. Be cursed with the darkness of cold for hell has no warmth for you in store.
"For the love of satan "he screams, a shrill shriek, a plea, the ink breaks through, tearing open revealing blood so blue, his Nordic vice has failed him yet for pagan he deemed ,a non believer the bible and teachings for him to be dead.
"For the love of satan "rings within my ears words uttered with pain and remorse,
Pulled even deeper within his embrace, he hides my body , hides my face.
I feel him shudder, I feel him tear, I feel him shiver, I hear his sneer.
Hot the trickle of blood running across my face, the smell strangely sweet
His heart beating within my empty chest, his amour is cracked, they have penetrated his vest.
His dark Lord leaps with loveless joy, forward to deliver the final blow
For he would not surrender me, the only truth he has ever known.
A moment of clarity before he dies a soft murmur his love for me above all the devils lies.
Peace be with him the one who carries my heart, for where ever the Valkeries has taken him,
I am assured he would be comforted within the safe walls of Valhalla far beyond the skies.
Maybe on a clear summer's day, I once again will hear him say.
"Welcome to my world, do stay don't go, just give the word,
And all is yours.
My love, my life, my treasure.
Never be bound by all you found within this sphere
Enough it is to know that it is you whom lingers here."
