Words Strewn Across The Veil

by Tyler Moore   May 24, 2012

When you place those words upon a sheet
of paper and you hear the beat;
the way they leave the page abound
in rhyme and tune, a blissful sound.
In resonating ringing flows
the words unfold, the story goes.
It buries deep within your heart
'till soon enough the words depart

this world and travel into the next,
but sometimes with, tearful effects.
When the answers that you yearn so dear
of loved ones lost, you cannot hear.
For what is done and come to pass
you cannot change and no one has
the way across that shimmering veil,
no matter what we think or feel.
We write our words and hope and pray
they reach those gone and passed away.

But all we have is their memory;
so hold it tight, and let it set you free.
