Australia, Australia (acrostic)

by Aaron   May 25, 2012

All I can think of is you;
us being together, those late nights when we'd
sit and cuddle, you'd
tell me of your recent childhood as I did the same.
Rarely did we speak our names; bub was mine and yours babe
at times you shouted Aaron, whenever you were mad.
Lust is what we have, lust is what we had;
in the darkness we found a love and brought it to the light,
Australia, Australia hear my plight.

Australia can you not tell how lonely I am,
ultimately becoming a cold-hearted man.
Sitting mile and kilometres away from my wife
to be, sadness has taken its tool; it's quite sickened me.
Ready to give, though I know I shall not,
amid the twinkle of the stars, my return I now plot.
Let it be known I miss her more than ever,
In my mind she'll be held, as well in my heart;
Australia, Australia hear my plight.
