Then and Now

by WanderingShade   May 29, 2012

What I am,
And what I once was,
They're so different now,
And yet so similar.

All my dreams were of love and finding it,
But now I dream of you,
And making us blossom,
Into that sweet smelling flower of love.

I never thought I'd stop look for love,
Until you said those 3 bittersweet words,
For the time I know they're true,
But my past is misleading.

I want to say them and mean them,
But I'm not sure if I can yet,
I'm still rebuilding from the last time,
When someone sneaked in,
And broke all the walls down.

Now here I am again,
But this time more aware,
Of the power you share,
With the one that shattered me.
