When our hearts were dancing
The souls of evening soared,
Banking northernmost climbing ,
Hearts beating in one accord,
Southern nights both surrendering.
Eventide draped in darkest cloth
Shrouded longing comes to nothing
As dawn reveals the demised moths
Reveries in shaded gray seeking
Granite crevaces of the mind's far reaches
Moments petrified in time;
Frozen photographs in my mind
And as the final chill inters
I intend to speak three words
As life began and ends the same
My last breath will call your name
