Let Die

by Eduardo Lazalde   Jun 6, 2012

Would it be hard for you to realize that I immortalize you behind these sad eyes?
Sometimes I find it overwhelming to try to explain this pain I cause myself when I look at you.
The questions I ask myself, but you alone is what keeps me sane.
I want to hold you close, hold you when it's cold, and hold you closer when we're all alone.
Stare straight into your eyes as I fall deeply in love as the Gods watch from the Heavens above.
I want to grow old with you.
Isn't that what love is all about?
The beauty in your face, in your body, in your gaze.
The beauty of the world lays in your heart, and to see that, for me it's not hard.
I want to be your friend, your best friend, your protector, and your lover.
I would pray to the Heavens never to give up my life for you.
But, to grow old and die with you.
I want to be with you through your struggles.
And, be with you through your prospers.
To conquer those fears that brought you nothing but tears.
I want to be your partner in crime, and love you until the end of time.
I can close my eyes when you walk by.
I cannot close my heart when I know these feelings are too hard to let die.
