Indeed very well expressed and in such an interesting and thoughtful manner you don`t see that often! And you even managed to put Greece(if I remember right) mythology in it too xd. Great work keep it up!

    Karla~
Beautiful piece. I love mythology (:
I love how you incorporated mythology; both Greek and Roman aspects of the goddess, and you tied it in with the persona's story.

'What is June but a still life painting
where I am the hidden seed
    of a passion fruit?'
^ This is just brilliant. Persephone's story is about eating the pomegranate seeds; I love how you used passion fruit instead, and comparing yourself to that fruit which is considered by some as the forbidden fruit.

This is just breathtaking. Will nominate! Keep writing.

This poem is inexplicably touching. The way your thoughts flow together is so delicate, compact with imagination and life. 5/5

    Clouds cry on the windowsill
and the curtains are eternally closed
for darkness has no time to leave..

    excellent..

    Written with verve, dear Karla:)

To be alone in June, to be a rose in full bloom and no one to celebrate her beauty...yes, that indeed is a waste:)

    Great stuff from you,

    5/5 Ingrid

I have to say Karla, that it is so good to finally read a poem where the seasons match the seasons in Australia, I think it makes it a little more realistic for me, and I can then easily relate to it.

In Australia, Winter starts in June as well. June is my favourite time of the year and so is Winter. I love the rain, the cold the storms everything about Winter. It holds a special place in my heart.

Your poem is filled with awesome images and I love what you have written here.

    Awesome!

What is June but a still life painting
where I am the hidden seed
    of a passion fruit?
What is June for an inexperienced poet
like me whose hands still tremble before
    the mysterious solstices?...

    amazing, just so well written
