Kids these days

by Ashton   Jun 8, 2012

I met a man in town, who asked me what kids do these days.
I said we do what we will, no matter what anyone says.
I killed him with the story, of how we live today.
Gave him the short rendition, life explained in my own way.
I told him that mornings are forgotten, whole days merge into nights.
Drinking is a standard, but drinking leads to fights.
I told him how we hide in dark, shielded from police lights.
soaring through the air, like misguided childrens kites.
Left to our own devices, we'd set this world on fire.
Any friend of mine would never call me liar.
A special bond is made, we have no leader or no sire.
we got a brand new habit, which we traded for desire.
I kill myself with fun, caught up in all this danger.
Im sure god meant for something different when he sent jesus to his manger.
we've all got sins and secrets that one day were gonna pay for.
freedoms just a myth, thats ill always wait a day for.
