The wide divide

by Joe common   Jun 20, 2012

The cold road carries our load
It often tries and just as often fails
To loosen it's grip once the summer
Sets sail on the rising tide of optimism

And the Forrest for it's trees
Allows us only a glimpse of what we can't see
But I will take with great pessimism
Whatever is given to me in altruism

The lake is just a reflection of light
I hoped you'd know but if not
I'll absorb it's all encompassing insight
For all time for both of us for everyone
