It is You

That feeling deep in my chest, that's you
It keeps me safe and sane
When your arms are wrapped around me,
it's as if the rest of the world melts away
because as long as you care
I don't need the rest of the world there
When I think of you I get a craving
to hear your voice, feel your warmth, experience your love
but you don't know the extent of which i need you
and you can't
for fear the if you do, I could lose you
and this i'm not prepared for
but someday I pray
that when the tensions of this age subside
these feelings that I have can be satisfied

    I like the deep sense of longing throughout the whole poem. It is very emotional and deep and captures a lot of what other writers can not. Good job.

    but you don't know the extent of which i need you"

    Here you show the longing and the lust the narrator is dealing with then you show the weakness and the neediness in them. It makes the character pop and seem a lot more alive than anything else. We all have our weaknesses and you show it in a simple but also creative way.

    "for fear the if you do, I could lose you
    and this i'm not prepared for"

    This is one of my favorite parts because it shows the doubt and the fear that come with love. Everyone who loves has the fear of losing their lover and are not prepared for it in the slightest bit and you stress that. Nice.
