Serpent's thought

by Hadassah grey   Jun 27, 2012

Here i am slender and smooth
With no legs to help me walk
But my belly to help me crawl

Some of us are long or short
Some of us are small or big
And different colors we have all got

We are all free and wild
Staying in places we were put to be
Minding our business without interference

We have an enemy who hates us so
Anytime he sets eyes on us
Getting a weapon is his next thought

In defence to our heads being crushed
We bruise his heel in agreement to the decree made by our creator

We wonder and ponder when this enemity between us is going to stop Till then the smashing and bruising continues
