My Patio

by joseph santacruz   Jun 30, 2012

Im feeling kind of groovy today daddy-o
because I spent last evening on my patio
Some folks like to stay inside and stew
I'd much rather chill on the patio and BBQ
Paper plates on the pic-nic table eating outside at night
A lot of time those darn mosquitos end up having me for a bite
A place to relax and watch sunsets and shadows grow
well my friend I think thats the purpose of the patio
In the winter my patios is covered in icicles
when the kids were young
it was covered with tricycles
My patios a nice place to be alone eating an apple
or a place to come together as an outdoor wedding chapel
A place to watch the shooting stars as they come and go or a good place to watch flowers and piles of beer cans as they stedily grow
There were times in my life I felt I had no where to grow
but thats not true I always had my patio
Some may say I wasted alot of time with nothing much to show
but I wouldnt change a thing for those times on my patio.
