Writers block

by Misshapenheart21   Jul 1, 2012

I used to think it didn't exist
I thought people were just making excuses
That they just didn't want to write
Or that they had a lack of inspiration
I thought they just needed to dig deeper
Or maybe they just needed to start ranting to paper and see what comes
Now I know it exists
I'm not making an excuse
I want to write more than anything
I am surrounded by inspiration
I dug so deep that I'm hollow inside
I've ranted to a million papers
Papers that were eager to hold my poems
My writers block has gone on for too long
By writing this poem and exposing its cruelties
I declare the end of my writers block...

Hopefully

This poem was a real eye opener for me because i am going through writers block.

i really like the words you used in this, but one thing you could work on with this is the rhythm, it seems off in some places. unless this is a poem that doesnt really have rythm. most people like a good poem when it does though so just think about it.

overall, i really liked it. im struggling with writers block at the moment. 5 months and nothing has been written.
