The darkness of each passing night

by Byron   Jul 10, 2012

From my window in my room
I can see the brightness of the moon
As the stars flicker light to my eyes
It makes me think of the darkness of the sky
It possess every thought of mine
With how brightly they can shine
I still think of death and birth it seems
How one life enters earth as another leaves
I wonder why I am stuck in between
Thinking of my exit scene
And how close I've come to my end
It's a distorted view I try hard to bend
But it occupies my every thought
So I'll lay here every night to rot
