Homely hopelessly homeless

Another homeless night and its getting dark
another homeless night asleep in the park
Not much of a rest, by the crack of dawn
its time to go the sprinklers come on.
Now what? no where to go?
one things for certain...go on must the show!
I think of the way it used to be
under the roof with daddy and mommy.
I really wish I had money for rent
this is like camping but totally different.
If only this. If only that. Its always something
if the queen had balls she would be the king.
Well maybe jails not so bad........
did you ever hear anything so pitiful and sad?
Toss a few pennies in the cup
it will be alright when I straighten up.
Sheltered folks say it could be worse
I could be riding in a hearse
(chin up old man! a frowns just a smile in reverse)
I guess all bad I must not be
all the insects want to sleep with me.
Another homeless night, its getting dark
another homeless night in the park.

There are more and more homeless people
with each day, some by choice, others due
to circumstances. Either way it is so sad.
There are shelter, even them are overcrowed
Being homeless is terrible. There is help out
    there, people must seek it.
