Tuff Times (fallen Rap Star)

by joseph santacruz   Jul 10, 2012

At first people take a second look at me
they recognize the rapper I used to be.
Its really sad when your moneys all spent
then you have to do your shopping at a store called 99 cent.
A rapper like me once so fresh and fly
Im hungry....my food stamps were denied.
times are tough, my fortune devastated
all my bling is now gold plated.
The look on my face may seemed depressed
the diamonds in my teeth were repossessed.
All my jags and ferraris a mirage
but I still have a vette ( a Chevette) in my garage
(but no more entourage)
I'm chilling in a trailer park due to mortgage hassles
my cribs no longer a giant rappers castle.
I had to sell the racehorses and the stable
and tomorrow their coming to disconnect my cable.
My last CD miserably failed
so im selling my stereo and CDs and my next garage sale.
When the Benjamins were flowing, it was so much fun
now Im broke and its all about the Washingtons.
