My Sun

by joseph santacruz   Jul 13, 2012

My sun precious jewel of the sky
such magnificence upon my eyes.
Enshrouded in your cape of blue
dancing on the morning dew.
Sometime to find your source I search
I long to climb upon your perch.
So far away the miles spanned
yet I feel you kiss my hand.
On cloudy "daze" Im still amazed
when parting clouds the golden rays.
On glowing days a bit to hot
my refuge comes in shady spots.
On bashful days, sun shy to shining
those times my the clouds have silver linings.
All those things I reap and sow
its you my sun makes spirits grow.
All my visions everywhere
dazzling sun theres no compare.
As night approaches time to set
I feel as if Im in your debt.
(Where I am I must forget)
Nightime shadows that I gaze upon
with hunger I await the crack of dawn!
