Constricted Bliss

by Garrett Shreve   Jul 20, 2012

So beautiful, so gorgeous, everything so new,
yet it came to strike me,
clear, through and through.

feeling the clutches of desire suffocate me tightly,
i take the chance, so important to keep cool,
yet all worries for nothing, for i was being an utter fool.

still not enough, i crave more daily,
to flaunt, to love, to have,
it matters not to me,
so long as my lungs are sated.

farmiliar now, grown so close,
still gasping for more, the want takes over.
thoughts filled only of being complete,
being with that which allows you to stand on your feet.

fullfiled now, no longner famished,
yet being not as happy as i had foreseen,
the old me comes back like a dream,
memories so vivd, machine cut, and clean,
they remind me of the old feeling that i had once hated,
the one that caused her to take my heart, confiscated.

    Your rhyming is very good
just work on the length of your sentences so it can flow a bit better
other than that it was very well written :)
