You still linger here

by Kylead   Jul 23, 2012

Your ghost is still lingering around here
just yesterday while driving I went to reach for the shift and could swear I felt the the warmth of skin
gently caressing the top of my hand.
Just the other day I missed you again I missed your soft arm wrapped around mine
when we used to go shopping.
Everyday I try but I can't keep you off my mind
I miss the small smiles that welcomed me home
I miss the small talk like how was your day
I miss every time I welcomed you home
I miss the clothes on the floor
I miss how when you got in your moods the colors in your eyes would change
I miss how you would do something so stupidly simple and it would make my world spin.
Sometimes in my dreams I am reaching up to catch a glimpse of the smile again
And when I wake up I am missing the way your hair was everywhere
and waking up pushed to the edge of the bed again
I regret what happened and I am sorry forgiveness isn't my strong suit
but if I could see you again
it might be stupid but I think we could turn things around
Part of this old heart is still beating for you
Part of it I think still needs you
and prays one day you'll return
So ill go on missing that time
till you fade from memory or were together again.
I love you_______

sincerely
Kyle After Death
