Running

by Kylead   Oct 1, 2012

Running and running almost out of breath it seems for miles it lasts
not sure why or who is behind me but still who or whatever it is catching up to me and giving chance
I need to be faster and smarter I think there has to be away to make myself harder to follow
I take off again this time cutting right and to the side into what feel like trees making the path I am storming down more narrow.
Its still there like the air it feels tree and terrain won't stop this thing from pursing me
so still it follows.
Running even faster now the thing is gaining moving almost like liquid wind
finally I trip and fall and push myself back up
but now its caught up
and it passes through me and now the last thing I remember is hitting my head
I can't really remember passing out
but I feel groggy and weightless coming to
I start with trying to focus my eyes slowly blurriness becomes colors and colors become shapes and I could see
I don't wake In panic or feel my heart racing so I look around I see dirt and tree and the spiral of color and confusion that hit me I still can't make out what it could be
so unsure but its stopped chasing so I take the time to if I am hurt I don't see any bruises or cuts or scrapes or gouges.
No pain no bleeding I think I am alright
so I try standing and this is weird I make noise like something snapped beneath me
but it seems nothing snapped just the sounds of stuff ratting in my pockets
so I am curious now because the beast has stopped and it would seem couldn't hear me
so I step close but its weird my foot prints don't like an impression but I can feel the cold ground beneath my feet
I get close to reach out and touch the beast
this strange creature starts to move and I can see something black dripping and hanging from its features
it walks and away and I see something odd and ruined
a fragile husk of what used to me hardly reassembling but I know its me
on this night I died now the creature stalks some one else
and this is the end of a long road for me
now I am slowly fading
time to get up now you were only dreaming

Sincerly
