Letter to my beloved

by The Po whet   Aug 3, 2012

Dear love,
tonight as I string these ;
my words of affection to you.
I can't help but mention
that Mr moon couldn't arrive
on time to gleam the night sky,
and the lazy stars resigned to slumber,
even before gloam came.
from my window, I only see fireflies,
whose dim lights luck the convincing glare
that would wheedle me
into wishing you were here.
at the pond, Mr frog's
orchestra became tired of croaking
their sweet symphonies
to a prince without a princess,
so they all jumped back into the pool in protest.
today my lips sleeps with twisted frowns
for they had no chance
of kissing you goodnight tonight.
so I await for sleep spectre
to carry me in dream's chariot
with the hope of meeting you
where forever I'm yours in love.
