Rain, rain

by alton dodson   Aug 4, 2012

Rain, rain
it washes away the pain, living inside, confined, in my solitary brain.
twists, turns, emotional rollercoaster ride.
i roll down my sleeves so no one would find the pain that i hide.
Rain, rain
teach me how to cry, i honor the the way your tears captivate, while mine no one even cares to speculate.
Rain, Oh heavenly rain
may god let the flood gates open just once more to purify my tainted heart, to make it clean again, like it was in the start
Rain, rain
rinse my away tears, sprinkle away my sorrow, and drown away my fears.
