The High Heavens

by Mattias Ostling   Aug 6, 2012

Hovering, flying, soaring across the sky
we watch these high heavens she and I,
and I cannot help being awestricken
by the beauties around me,
trees whispering, grass singing--
the very mountains themselves seems to chant a low humming tune
as we sail across the sky
I gaze at her, and she gazes at me.
We look down and sail on

If this is a dream, I will never forget it
I will never forget the smell of the grass
and the taste of the trees
I will never forget how the wind blew,
and how the sun's light sparkled in her eyes
I will never forget the warmth that surrounded us
I will never forget this day...
I will never forget...

I really liked this one, you done well on this. The line where you mentioned the taste of the tree's, I thought this was a fantastic mark to make on your poem to make it your own and unique.

It is beuatiful when moments and memories happen that we never forget and when we remember them, we not only remember the moment we remember everything from all of our senses.

    Great poem.
