Cycling sillyness

by joseph santacruz   Aug 8, 2012

These days I find to my disliking
all this mandatory mountain biking

I ride this little pony of metal
it seems all up hill when I have to pedal.

Empty wallet and poor .....thus,
I have no fare for train or bus.

Gas and oil is not my worry
But Im going no where in a hurry.

Sometimes my bike does cause me pain
like when my pants get stuck in the chain.

Im surely not a cycling nut
the seat is hard and hurts my butt.

It makes it hard to find a date
arriving by bike to pick up your mate
(unintentionally arriving unfashionably late)

To save the planet its the right thing to do
and no need to walk and wear out shoes.

A madder man you have not met
when it rains and I must cycle wet.

My transport system is a joke
filled with gears and chains and shiny spokes.

I must'nt forget to always lock it
Or I will have no more handlebars and sprockets.
(As my bike some thief takes and tries to hock it))

But a sturdy bike rack in front of my castle means
no registration or insurance hassles.

Bike ridings not really one of my choices
but I cant afford car dealers invoices.

So there will be no car or truck for me
only a bicycle from point A to b.

To deal with a car I lack
I hope the winds always at my back.
