The Brutality Of Death

by Andrew Packard   Aug 26, 2012

Brutality of Death:

Eyelids fly open wide,
Blinding light pupils React.
Adrenaline ignites deep Inside,
Fists clench muscles Contract.

Broken glass at the foot of the Bed,
Waves of crimson curdling screams.
Shrieking silence within your head,
This can't be, but so real it seems.

Not knowing what to do,
Curiosity draws you near.
Monstrosity of black and Blue,
Frozen by the face of Fear.

Tearing your gaze from its eyes,
Tumbling back in utter fright.
Expression gruesome reveals surprise,
While escaping into the Night.

Crumbling bones rush down the Stairs,
Cramping knees push against the laundry Door.
Pleading Repeating Long Forgotten Prayers,
Cut short Cloven Hooves tap across the Floor.

Hands wringing Brain can't take it,
Pounding Bursting Heart Beat race.
Triggers Astral Travel of the Spirit,
Twisting Vortex unlocks another Place.

Rise above the grisly scene beneath,
Amber pieces of soul unite on High.
The Monster claws and tears with razor teeth,
Earthly Life ceases passes By.

The scent of fear gives way to thick perfume,
Now laid before you your own essence and Form.
Sensing what is to take place very soon,
Alluring certain death is to be again Reborn.
