Distant Sister

When little girls, we shared the same clothes
When little girls, we painted are toes
When little girls, we both shared a room
When little girls, we had a fantasy tomb

When teenagers, we shared the same friends
When teenagers, we both wished for a Benz
When teenagers, we did the same sports
When teenagers, we shared the same shorts

When college came, you packed up and left
When college came, I got my first theft
When college came, you left for Rome
When college came, you never came home

When you came back, I didn't know you
When you came back, I had a new crew
When you came back, we never hung out
When you came back, just fighting and doubt

When little girls, never one day apart
When teenagers, we were witty and smart
When college came, you left and I thieved
When you came back, I wish you would leave

When little girls, are friendship was planned
When teenagers, we stood hand and hand
When college came, we both drifted away
But as for today, we still remain stray
