Airports sucks

by Ole Carsten   Aug 29, 2012

I know love can be as tuff as sweet
love is a shooting star shining bright
setting of on the most wonderful journey
always wit a bit chill around the spine
all nerves make a shiver to shape the muscles
the eyes are blinking vivid to moisture the sight
checking the clothes once more time to be sure
it would be a shame to come wrongly dressed
no preparation is to good

Wondering how I look after hours of journey?
maybe the dressing is in vein?
Thinking about love and go on dressing
I am like no one else I know
polishing the shoes even the are blank
controlling the shirt and extra time
looking at the flight bag all is packed
less than ten kilos of luggage to carry
Where is the passport and tickets?.

I am still early according to my time schedule
I will be in the airport hours before
can't wait anyway, maybe time to cruise?
recalling the sweetness of love growing,
remembering all the small arguments solved
what didn't kill me made me stronger?
a song or a quote? I can't recall
Time for Coffey and some sucker for me
walking in the airport looking at shops
like millions others just looking.

Sitting in the gate, waiting
knowing I have to rush when the plane lands
three hours and twenty minute from a kiss.

Very sweet poem that tells the tale of you waiting to get to your loved one.

I can imagine so many others have done same thing as you describe it.

    Very well done!

Lol..the Title is unique and really catches the eye. Loved how you express your frustrations in this piece and your ending was one filled with hope and longing coz at the end of it all, you know you are going to a place where you are loved.
