Discarded

by Moonlight   Sep 4, 2012

A longing stirs inside me
as I gaze into your eyes
A familiar sense of loneliness
begins to take control
Everything you do
leaves me trembling at the knees
I just can't stand to see
that your touch still leaves me weak

Your voice still calms my fears
Your smile still warms my heart
Though it was you who left me broken
For you, I'd give my whole life
For you, I'd do anything
If it meant you'd come back to me
All I'm left with now the memory
of your once comforting embrace

In your arms I had a home
that She quickly tore apart
I gave you everything, my all
yet for you, it was not enough
Now I can never speak those words;
they are hushed upon my lips
Because all the honesty in mine
were only met with your lies
